about

This is it ladies and gentlemen: the last and best yet recorded work of NCKM 1.0, God bless him. We'll miss his freewheeling rebellious young spirit and unending angst about everything. This album is a final reminder to everyone in the world (who listens, I guess) but most of all to me before the next Act of my career begins that this whole shitshow IS, in fact, going somewhere. I have *something*. If I can get this in front of more listeners and would-be fans and listen to their feedback, I think I'm capable of really taking this places. As I move up in my life and try to grow as both an adult and a musician, I need to start taking risks, putting in the toughest hours of all (ones you don't get paid for and nobody acknowledges as work) and not expecting shit for it except a better future if I continue to work hard and be patient. Maybe.

Anyway, what exactly is "hausu"?This is album is heavily inspired by a (three?)-month-long love affair with Japanese video games. I'm not saying I was tripping while playing Nier for the first time straight through in one sitting loving every second of it or anything, and I certainly don't think I was in a deep, very real, and very dark depression for a solid week because of that little gem Doki Doki Literature Club that literally everybody but me has already played and gotten over by now, but what I am saying is I hope some piece of the spirit I felt in my favorite moments of those games comes through in the music. Most of the games I played had music in it that while fantastic, was miles both ahead and far away from what I have here to my ears, but I incorporated some pieces and ideas here and there and occasionally I felt myself saying "This sounds like Silent Hill!" so I feel solidly that I've built something entertaining to people besides me with Hausu that actually reaches the musical ambitions I started out with, but any feedback any listener has is more than welcome. I will always strive to improve until people simply CAN'T ignore me or my vision anymore.

Thanks for listening. I hope you all enjoy.

about

NOTHING CAN KILL ME Rocky Mount, North Carolina

Rural, ancient, digital, spacey music with bleak, somber, painful, anxious poetry. Adjectives aren't really my thing to be honest.

I make music because it's therapeutic.
